Kolkata is one of the biggest metropolitan cities in India. It was decided in 1981 that ministry should be started in Kolkata, and in 1983, Nathan Paul was appointed as a worker there. But when the foreign leaders declared that Kolkata is a part of the India Unit, the North-East Mission Department withdrew itself.

In recent years, as foreign aid has been provided, North-East India has taken the mission field under its wing again, and has established several churches. There have been more workers appointed as well, and now the field has even expanded to Bihar and Jharkhand.

The pastors in charge were : (The present Director of this field is Rev.Vanlalawia Ralte. He stayed in Dum Dum, Kolkata.)

  • Kolkata Field Director – Rev. V. Biaksângliana
  • Pastor Suman Khan.
  • Pastor Sri Kanta Khan.
